Let all the
Freshen the f...
Stretch out your
And we might

Modern, Normal

Took some pills in your room
Caught an empty chill from all the
Fevers you are dreaming ?
Made a choice to feel new
Like this aging skin
Fill in the cracks that you are peeling away

…right, in your apartment I am
…this empty disguise
We sway and the bed you made
Longing for the cyphers to move on

The city’s designed,
To crumble in the night,
In cascading light, sleep in ash tonight

…right, in your apartment I am
…this empty disguise
We sway and the bed you made
Longing for the cyphers to move on.

Metal and Dust

And so, you built a life on trust
Though it starts, with love and lust
And when your house, begins to rust
Oh it’s just, metal and dust

We argue, we don’t fight
We argue, we don’t fight

And all foundation that we've made
Built to last, they disintegrate
And when your house begins to rust
Oh it’s just, metal and dust

We argue, we don’t fight
Stay awake to the middle of the night
Stay awake to the middle of the night
We argue, we don’t fight

Stay awake to the middle of the night
Stay awake to the middle of the night
We don’t argue
We argue, we don’t fight

Stay awake to the middle of the night
Stay awake to the middle of the night
We don’t argue
We argue, we don’t fight

Stay awake to the middle of the night
Stay awake to the middle of the night
We don’t argue
We don’t argue.

If I

Blow, blow down your door
You wanted less, but you got more
Blow, blow down your door
Walk the path, walk the floor

If I

Devil's gonna make you turn
Red, red hot and burn
Devil's gonna make you turn
Never lose and never learn

If I

Long, long way home
I was leaving, I was gone
Long, long way home
You were calling me beyond
Fall down, kneel, cry
Tell my heart, I won't deny
Fall down, kneel, cry
Alright, testify!

If I

What you gonna do when you're
Earth to the ground no more
What you gonna do when you're
6 feet down and you're...

Hey,
If I

Long, long way home
I was leaving, I was gone
Long, long way home
You were calling me beyond
Fall down, kneel, cry
Tell my heart, I won't deny
Fall down, kneel, cry
Alright, testify!

Speak out tongue, find the word
Speak out tongue, now I heard
Speak out soul, hold the line
Speak out soul, day and night

Speak out tongue, find the word
Speak out tongue, now I heard
Speak out tongue, find the word
Speak out tongue...

Step

The gloves are off, the wisdom teeth are out
What you on about?
I feel it in my bones, I feel it in my bones
I'm stronger now, I'm ready for the house
Such a modest mouse,
I can't do it alone, I can't do it alone

Ancestors told me that their girl was better
She's richer than Croesus, she's tougher than leather
I just ignored all the tales of a past life
Stale conversation deserves but a bread knife
And punks who would laugh when they saw us together
Well, they didn't know how to dress for the weather
I can still see them there huddled on Astor
Snow falling slow to the sound of the master

The gloves are off, the wisdom teeth are out
What you on about?
I feel it in my bones, I feel it in my bones
I'm stronger now, I'm ready for the house
Such a modest mouse,
I can't do it alone, I can't do it alone

Wisdom's a gift, but you'd trade it for youth
Age is an honor, it's still not the truth
We saw the stars when they hid from the world
You cursed the sun when it stepped to your girl
Maybe she's gone and I can't resurrect her
The truth is she doesn't need me to protect her
We know the true death, the true way of all flesh
Everyone's dying, but girl you're not old yet

The gloves are off, the wisdom teeth are out
What you on about?
I feel it in my bones, I feel it in my bones
I'm stronger now, I'm ready for the house
Such a modest mouse,
I can't do it alone, I can't do it alone

Here We Go

You've gotta hope that there's someone for you
As strange as you are
Who can cope with the things that you do
Without trying too hard

Because you can bend the truth
Until it's soothing you
These things that you're wrapping all around you
You never know what they will amount to
And your life is just going on without you
It's the end of the things you know
Here we go

You've gotta know that there's more to this world
Than what you have seen
Because we all have a limited view of what we can be

As we move along
With our blinders on
Each one of us feels a little stranded
And you can't explain or understand it
Each one of us on a different planet
And admist all the to and fro
Someone can say "Hello,
Here we go"

The feeling that someone really gets you
It's something that no one should object to
It could happen today so I suggest you
Skip your habit of laying low
It's the end of the things you know
Here we go

Because someone can say "Hello,
You old so and so, here we go"

Slow to Love

fast to love are the fast Annotateto hate
fast to fall out
I always take my time

guess I'm just slow to love
slow to love
and I will be left behind

tiptoe in
I'm always tripping on past skeletons
got me by my heels

and I doubted the whole time till I was in the thick of it
love, maybe that's the magic or the trick of it

I will be left behind

cause I'm slow to love, slow to love

how did you know, so fast?
while I doubted the whole time till I was in the thick of it
love, maybe that's the magic or the trick of it
I'll be left behind

and I will be left behind

Lost Causes

We went down with November
Lights out, late December

We missed Santa Claus, and all lost causes
Burned out and exhausted

Now rewind to September
So sweet and tender
Air is gentle, nights still warm
Shelter before the storm

June is almost lost on me
When promises come easy
With nothing to lose, but all lost causes

Summer nights never exhaust us
We went down with November

Lights out, 'til late December
I be shelter for the coming storm

But I won't be the one to take you home
