A Summer Gone

Memories of a summer gone
driving around the country
We found a place to lay down our bones
talking of our lives

Still don't know
what was going on
Still don't know
what we were looking for

Memories of some sunny days
Spent trying to catch you
I came to you but you always ran away
It was your favorite game

Still don't know
what was going on
Still don't know
what we were looking for

Terrible Angels

If every angel's terrible
Then why do you welcome them
If every angel's terrible
Then why do you welcome them?

If every angel's terrible
Then why do you welcome them

You provide the birdbath
I provide the skin
And bathing in the moonlight
I'm to tremble like a kitten

If blue eyed babes
Raised as hitler's little brides and sons
They got angelic tendencies
Like some boys tend to act like queens

Oh if every angel's terrible
Then why do you watch her sleep

You love to hear her sing
And wear purple eyes like rings
Well the flowers have no scent
And the child's been miscarried

Oh every angel's terrible
Said freud and rilke all the same
Rimbaud never paid them no mind
But jimmi morrison had his elevators
His elevators
He had his elevator angels

If every angel's terrible
Why do you hide inside her
Like a child in a skirt
The supermarket's loud and bright
And boy don't she feel warm tonight
Boy don't she feel warm tonight

Boy don't she feel warm tonight
If every angel's terrible...

You Will Miss Me When I Burn

When you have no one
No one can hurt you
When you have no one
No one can hurt you

In the corner there is light
That is good for you
And behind you, I have warned you
There are awful things

Will you miss me when I burn
And will you eye me with a longing?
It is longing that I feel
To be missed or to be real

When you have no one
No one can hurt you
When you have no one
No one can hurt you

Will you miss me when I burn
And will you close the others' eyes
It would be such a favor
If you would blind them

There is absence, there is lack
There are wolves here abound
You will miss me
When I turn around

When you have no one
No one can hurt you
When you have no one
No one can hurt you

Swimming in Earth's navel (3)

Swimming in Earth's navel
-part 3-

Phocis is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the administrative region of Central Greece. It stretches from the western mountainsides of Parnassus on the east to the mountain range of Vardousia on the west, upon the Gulf of Corinth. It is named after the ancient region of Phocis, but the modern regional unit also includes parts of ancient Locris and Doris.

Phocis was an ancient region in the central part of Ancient Greece, which included Delphi. A modern prefecture, also called Phocis is named after the ancient region, although the modern region is substantially larger than the ancient one.

Being neither rich in material resources nor well placed for commercial enterprise, Phocis was mainly pastoral. No large cities grew up within its territory, and its chief places, such as Delphi and Elatea, were mainly of strategic or cultural importance.
