The Saint

He stared deep
deep
into the well
its depth
had no end
in this life

the flesh peeled off
and fell bit by bit
soon nothing would remain
but his skeleton

I’ve decided - he said -
I’ve finally decided
I’ll live among the drowned
and among the lepers

Hypnotized

I am hypnotized

when I see your grace

but i need to keep the distance.

Worm Tamer

You know they call my girl the Snake Charmer
Here she comes rising with the yellow dawn
You know I would do nothing to ever harm her
I guess that I've just loved you for too long

You know they call my girl the Worm Tamer
She cracks lightning like a viper's tongue
She leaves me every night and who could blame her
I guess that I've just loved you for too long

For too long!

You know they call my girl the Serpent Wrangler
Eating inchworms down by the bill-a-bong
I spent all last night trying to untangle her
I guess that I've loved you for too long

You know they call my baby the Mambo Rider
I cry storms of tears till the rising of the dawn
You know I'm only happy when I'm inside her
I guess that I've just loved you for too long

Well my baby calls me the Loch Ness Monster
Two great big humps and then I'm gone
But actually I am the Abominable Snowman
I guess that I've loved you for too long

For too long!

She Said Destroy

Into that darkness
Into that darkness
Like jackals howling
Like flowers unfolding

Into that darkness
Into that darkness
The banners in tatters
The virgin is blessed

Into that darkness
Into that darkness
As if seeking there
Hope's bloody prey
The dead dog sinking
Turning and turning

Into that darkness
Into that darkness
The bodies collapsed
Swollen with gas

Into that darkness
Into that darkness
In the hovels and gutters
Her face to the storm

Into that darkness
Into that darkness
Still broken, still bleeding
The crack of the neck
The gut shriek of thunder
The blood call of lightning

She said destroy in black New York...

Into that darkness
Into that darkness
Like jackals howling
Like flowers unfolding

Into that darkness
Into that darkness
The virgin has blessed
The call of the beast

Into that darkness
Into that darkness
As if seeking there
Hope's bloody prey
The dead dog sinking
Turning and turning

She said destroy in black New York...

Strange News From Another Star

All I want to be
Is washed out by the sea
No Death Star over me
Won't give me any peace
All I want is light relief
Put the crazies on the street
Give them guns and feed them meat
They'll shoot the Death Star down

Dig a hole and put it down
A thousand miles underground
They say it's no game
There's strange news from another star
I'm lost

There's strange news from another star
Give me all your stuff
Until I can't get up
Watch the whole world freeze
Counting tin cans in our sleep
Submarines are diving deep
I don't believe in me

All I've ever done is tame
Will you love me all the same
Will you love me though it's always the same
They say it's no game
There's strange news from another star
I'm lost

There's strange news from another star
From another star

Beer (or not)

I don't know how many bottles of beer
I have consumed while waiting for things
to get better
I dont know how much wine and whisky
and beer
mostly beer
I have consumed after
splits with women-

waiting for the phone to ring
waiting for the sound of footsteps,
and the phone to ring
waiting for the sounds of footsteps,
and the phone never rings
until much later
and the footsteps never arrive
until much later
when my stomach is coming up
out of my mouth
they arrive as fresh as spring flowers:
"what the hell have you done to yourself?
it will be 3 days before you can fuck me!"

the female is durable
she lives seven and one half years longer
than the male, and she drinks very little beer
because she knows its bad for the figure.

while we are going mad
they are out
dancing and laughing
with horney cowboys.

well, there's beer
sacks and sacks of empty beer bottles
and when you pick one up
the bottle fall through the wet bottom
of the paper sack
rolling
clanking
spilling gray wet ash
and stale beer,
or the sacks fall over at 4 a.m.
in the morning
making the only sound in your life.

beer
rivers and seas of beer
the radio singing love songs
as the phone remains silent
and the walls stand
straight up and down
and beer is all there is.

Leaning On A Lampost

I'm leaning on a lamp, maybe you think, I look a tramp,
Or you may think I'm hanging 'round to steal a motor-car.
But no I'm not a crook, And if you think, that's what I look,
I'll tell you why I'm here, And what my motives are.

I'm leaning on a lamp-post at the corner of the street
In case a certain little lady passes by.

Swing Fever

Swing music, also known as swing jazz or simply swing, is a form of jazz music that developed in the early 1930s and became a distinctive style by 1935 in the United States.

Swing uses a strong rhythm section of double bass and drums as the anchor for a lead section of brass instruments such as trumpets and trombones, woodwinds including saxophones and clarinets, and sometimes stringed instruments such as violin and guitar, medium to fast tempos, and a "lilting" swing time rhythm.

The verb "to swing" is also used as a term of praise for playing that has a strong rhythmic "groove" or drive.

JazzMatazz Music Band are: Maria Vassilopoulou, Apostolos Papapetros, Dimitris Manolopoulos, Michalis Kraounakis, Pavlos Katsivelis
